PBIS

Here at Bennett, we are a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) School. PBIS is an evidence-based three-tiered framework for improving and integrating all of the data, systems, and practices affecting student outcomes every day. PBIS is here so that all students succeed.

PBIS is an evidence-based, data-driven framework proven to reduce disciplinary incidents, increase a school's sense of safety, improve school climate, and support improved academic outcomes for all students.

The premise of PBIS is that continual teaching combined with acknowledgment or feedback of positive student behavior will reduce unnecessary discipline and promote a climate of greater productivity, safety, and learning.

For more information, please visit the PBIS website.

The components of PBIS at Bennett CSD include school-wide expectations, a behavior matrix, direct teaching, behavior tracking, and rewards systems. Click the link below to view the PBIS Brochure.
